If you are looking for an adventure with creatures from under the sea, then you and your family should be sure to visit the Aquarium of the Bay. This unbelievable aquarium features local marine life and invites visitors to have fun while learning about conservation. Aquarium of the Bay is located on the iconic San Francisco waterfront and is just 25 minutes away by car from the Alpine Inn & Suites.

Green Moray Eels, Sharks, Moon Jellies, and River and Sea Otters are just some of the wonderful sea animals that you will see during your visit to the Aquarium of the Bay. For the entire month of August, the aquarium is open daily from 9 AM until 8PM. It is highly recommended that you get your tickets early to get the online discount where Adult passes are just $25 and kids are only $15. You will not want to miss the Discover the Bay exhibit which includes highlights such as Bay babies where you will get to see a variety of underwater newborns. The Under the Bay exhibit features two tunnels where you will be surrounded by various marine animals. The first tunnel has near shore habitats that include schools of anchovies, giant Sea Bass, and even Sea Stars. The second tunnel allows you to explore the deeper waters of the bay where you will be treated to sharks, rays, and sturgeon. A favorite is the Touch the Bay exhibit where you actually get to touch some of the marvelous creatures that you have been learning about throughout the aquarium. Hopefully, you will be brave enough to touch a shark or ray!

After a fun filled and informational day at the Aquarium of the Bay, make your way back to the Alpine Inn & Suites to rest up and recharge before finding one of the many local restaurant options for a delicious family dinner.
